Patriot Partners is having its first meeting of the year on 
Wednesday, September 15th at 6 p.m. in the Community Room at GW. We will have an opportunity to hear from our new Principal, Loan Maas, and meet the rest of the senior administrative team followed by a business meeting to cover the activities and volunteer opportunities for Patriot Partners for the 2010-2011 school year.

NATIONAL CHAMPION IN PUBLIC FORUM DEBATE, GEORGE STUDENTS GABE RUSK AND BRENDAN PATRICK WON THE PRESITGIOUS TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS DEBATE TOURNAMENT IN KENTUCKY IN PUBLIC FORUM DEBATE, DEFEATING SIXTY-EIGHT OF THE TOP DEBATE TEAMS IN THE NATION.  CONGRATULATIONS TO GABE, BRENDAN AND THEIR COACH MARYROSE KOHAN.

CLUB NEWS

CHEMISTRY CLUB          Wed. during Lunch    Activities: Discussions , presentations about the current issues and the role of Chemistry, Guest speakers, Food, Fashion, Demonstrations related to chemistry

 

Micro-Financing: Friday during Lunch activities: Supporting third world countries small business by giving small $ loans through Kiva.
All students are welcome. They must come on regular basis. The first meeting  for Chemistry is on 1st of Sept. during lunch time in room 204.

GW GRADS HEAD OFF TO TOP COLLEGES!  The 2010 graduating class was offered an astounding $5,577,946 in scholarships and aid.  Patriot colleges include: CU, CSU, CC, Univ. of Denver, UNC, George Washington U, Stanford, U of Pennsylvania Howard U, NYU, Tufts, Boston U, Boston College, Tulane, Dartmouth, Pomona, Villanova, Reed, Lehigh, Occidental, Arizona State U, Kansas U, U of Ohio, U of North Carolina, Lewis & Clark, U of British Columbia and many more.

 

JUNIORS ALEXANDER PORT AND DEVON STORK WERE AWARDED 3rd place in the Senior Division Best Team Project competition in the 2010 Colorado Science and Engineering Fair on April 10, 2010.  Their project was titled "The Effect of Intramolecular Bonding on the Structure of Odor Binding Protein-4."
